Calling All Heroes: Bible Adventure Awaits
This years’ Vacation Bible School will be happening on Monday, June 22nd- Friday, June 26th from 9 am-12 noon. VBS is opened to everyone age 3- youth entering 5th grade. Registration forms will be coming out soon! If you have any question or would like more information please contact Harmony Jackson at the church office (562) 861-9777 or by email csulbchick23@hotmail.com. so we are looking for volunteers that would love to help out with VBS as well!
This years theme is The Pirates who don’t do anything: A Veggietales VBS. The Verse of the week is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Phillippians 4:13.
The day themes and bible verses are as followed
Day 1: True heroes know God is with them.
The story of Moses and the burning bush.
(Exodus 3:1-4:17)
Day 2: God can make me a hero.
The story of Gideons army defeating the Midianites
(Judges 6:1-7:26)
Day 3: True heroes do the right thing.
The story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego
(Daniel 3:1-30)
Day 4: True heroes reach out to Jesus.
The story of Jesus rescuing Peter.
(Matthew 12:22-33)
Day 5: True Heroes share God’s love.
The story of Paul’s shipwreck
(Acts 27:1-44)
